About bloom and Rachel Glendinning

Rachel’s relationship with the body and wellbeing started as a child, where she practiced yoga and meditation at a young age, taught to her by her Indian stepmother. After graduating with an honors degree in modern Chinese studies and spending a year living in Beijing and Taiwan, she returned to England to pursue a career in advertising.

Rachel worked in advertising for eight years, yet whilst enjoying the social and creative side of her career, she began to experience stress and anxiety from the pressure and lifestyle of the business, and was drawn to complete a Reiki degree. Not long after, Rachel felt a longing to revisit the yoga she enjoyed as a child. She studied for two years alongside her day job, completing an intensive programme as a Vinyasa flow teacher in India and California.

Rachel spent the following five years teaching at yoga studios, leading private and corporate classes and hosting international retreats and workshops. She was the principal teacher at the Light Centre in Belgravia and was chosen as the yoga teacher for the Government’s Slow Down London campaign.

Throughout this time Rachel explored various healing methods and practices including The Grinberg Method. After just a few sessions, the method’s simplicity, power and directness engaged her so much she joined the Grinberg Method school in Switzerland and Germany, completing a four year International Diploma to become the first Qualified Grinberg Method practitioner in the UK.

She is a member of the International Association of Grinberg Method Practitioners and regularly supervised.

Rachel has been working 1-1 with clients for twelve years and is currently practicing out of the Light Centre in Moorgate. She is passionate about the benefits of the Grinberg Method and is dedicated to making it more widely available in London. She has plans to take the method out to Hong Kong and China.

"Since meeting the Grinberg Method my body and my life have transformed. I no longer struggle with back pain, cystitis, anxiety or digestive disorders. I have very practical tools to use in times of greater intensity in my life. It is a pleasure to commit to 15-20 minutes of training most days as I find this consistent, focused training keeps me relaxed, energised and well. It is my continued wish and intention to share all that I know and all that has benefitted me with as many people as I can"
